Snoop Dogg Calls Trump a “Punk”, Talks Voting This Year
Rapper and entertainer, Snoop Dogg, talked in depth about the current political scenario in the US, revealing that he has never voted before, but this year, that’s going to change.
Snoop Dogg went on to talk about why he hasn’t voted in all these years. He revealed that he has been “brainwashed” into believing that one couldn’t vote if they have a criminal record. Well, that problem is in the past because the rapper no longer has an active record; it has been expunged.
In that same vein, the rapper continued to encourage voter action, saying: “I can’t talk about it and not be about it. I can’t tell you to do it and then not go do it. If I tell you to do something, I done it already.” His primary motivation for voting this year is to contribute to voting US President Trump out of office. With regard to the POTUS, Snoop Dogg simply commented, saying “I can’t stand to see this punk in office one more year”.
Snoop Dogg is one of the early musicians to have rallied behind the Black Lives Matter movement and talked openly against police brutality and racial injustice in the US.
Snoop Dogg joins a long list of musicians and celebrities encouraging voter action in recent times, including Beyonce and Taylor Swift. He ended the interview on a light note, reminiscing the time that he roasted Donald Trump on his official roast. He said “I didn’t know then that he would be President. But, man I went hard on him.”
