Stray Kids Reach New Heights with ‘IN LIFE’

Earlier this week, the buzzing Kpop act, Stray Kids, arrived on the scene with their repackaged album, “IN LIFE” or “IN生”. They also accompanied this with the visualizer for their lead track, ‘Back Door’. It’s been just a couple days since the album made its explosive landing, and the band has already witnessed roaring success.

But first, to touch upon their sizzling tune, ‘Back Door’, this number sees the boys experiment a lot with their soundscape. Interestingly, the song is actually spearheaded by the group’s rapline, all showing off their distinct styles. The track also incorporated sound effects featuring three knocks on a door, followed by a door creeping open which seamlessly segues into their infectious beat drop.

The music video also saw the boys execute some sleek dance routines, highlighted by some snazzy edits. So, it’s no surprise that within hours of the video dropping, ‘Back Door’ was trending at No. 1 worldwide on YouTube. The tune went on to rake in 10 million in under 28 hours – which is a new high for Stray Kids.

But that was but a slice of the victories that awaited them. “IN LIFE” and its lead track also soared to the top of iTunes charts across the globe. According to the band’s agency, JYP Entertainment, the album made it to the summit of the iTunes Top Albums charts in 23 different countries, including the United States, Australia, and Russia.

Further, ‘Back Door’ topped iTunes charts in at least 7 different regions, including newer markets like Peru, Poland, and Singapore.

And so, Stray Kids have struck gold yet again with this project. “IN生” is currently available on all streaming platforms.
