Taylor Swift Becomes A Chart Topper With ‘Willow’
Taylor Swift is clearly the uncrowned queen of 2020! As ‘Willow’ debuts at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the singer’s latest album “Evermore” that released on the 11th of December has become the No.1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. It makes her the first artist to debut as the chart-topper on both charts twice, at the same time.
Let’s Look At The Numbers
With 329,000 equivalent album units, of which 155,000 units are album sales, 67,000-unit streaming sales, the album earns the biggest entry on Alternative Albums since Taylor’s previous LP “Folklore”. The album that released in May amassed 218,000 units via streaming with 847,000 units since its debut.
With “Evermore” at No.1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, Taylor has her eighth album chart-topper encapsulating all of her full-length releases so far. To top it off, Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs is loaded with Taylor Swift’s tunes. With 14 out of 15 tracks from “Evermore”, ‘Willow’ bows at the No.1 spot for the second week since its debut.
The accomplishments make Taylor Swift only the third female solo artist to have two No.1 albums to her credit in a single year. “Folklore” was her first No.1 album that stayed at the top of Billboard 200 chart for eight weeks!
Yay! You Go Girl!
Congratulations poured in from friends and fans alike for Taylor Swift as she gushes in excitement. The singer couldn’t be happier as she took to Twitter to thank everyone who made this possible.
We feel exactly the same way as the “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” feel right now. As we wait for more amazing music from Taylor Swift, here’s the album for you guys to listen and cherish the music some more!
