Taylor Swift Donates $50,000 To Help A Mother

Taylor Swift has been very generous, once again! The singer just donated $50,000 to help a mother, Vickie Quarles, in need. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone’s going through a rough patch for meeting the ends. And, unfortunately, Vickie surely is suffering.

Vickie Quarles, a mother of five children recently lost her husband, Theodis Ray Quarles to coronavirus. One can only imagine the plight of the rest of the family members. So, a friend of the mother decided to create a GoFundMe account to raise some funds. And, Taylor Swift spotted it!

What Drove Taylor To Donate?

The GoFundMe page has a note which is very emotional and we believe, Taylor felt the same. “Exactly one week before Christmas, my dear friend Vicki lost her husband to COVID-19. While so many families have lost loved ones in 2020 for various reasons, this one reminded me of the unexpected loss of superstar NBA champion, Kobe Bryant. Except for the MVP of this family of five daughters is Theodis Ray Quarles.”

The note continued, “Just as superstars and legends are seldom replaced, Theodis’ transition will forever leave a void on the Quarles team. Alyssa, Anaya, Asia, Allie and Aryah will miss him at breakfast,  at their class plays, proms, recitals, graduations, college entries…and ultimately their weddings.” This surely must have gotten to Taylor.

Taylor Swift and her mom, Andrea donated the goal amount on the GoFundMe page, making it reach a total of $61,268. Something, the singer has been doing for a long time, now.

Even in December, Taylor donated $13,000 to two mothers who were struggling to pay their bills via their GoFundMe page. In March 2020, she also sent stimulus checks to her fans who were jobless due to COVID-19. One knows that Swift is always making everyone’s happy by her acts of kindness and she’s done it again, we’re in awe.
