TWICE is Gearing up to Drop Their New Album, ‘More & More’

The K-pop supergroup, ‘TWICE’ just unveiled the music video teaser for their song ‘More & More’ and fans are over the moon. Much like other Kpop acts, TWICE made it to the global frontier just last year. The lead single from their EP, ‘Feel Special’ scored the group’s second No. 1 spot on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales, therefore putting them on the map.

Now, it looks like the nine member group is all prepped and ready to release their ninth mini album also titled, ‘More & More’. This one’s slated to drop on June 1st.

Their agency, JYP Entertainment, took to social media to share their teaser, leaving fans thirsting for more. The teaser shows us the girls, all donning vibrant dresses that perfectly match their equally vibrant, neon hairdos. They stand in the middle of a garden, sprinkled with wild hues of colour, making the entire set rather surreal.

Here’s What TWICE Has in Store for the Album

We only get to hear a sliver of the track. And, as expected, it gives us a taste of their power packed vocals. Interestingly enough, the group has managed to recruit quite a few big names to aid with the song-writing. They’ve joined forces with Zara Larsson, Julia Michaels, and MNEK. Three completely different artists, all with their own unique sense of style and sound.

This album is the group’s first in nine months since their EP ‘Feel Special’ released in September 2019. A little after that, the band embarked on their world tour, ‘Twicelights’ and planned to have their finale in Seoul on March 7th. But this was cancelled due to the global coronavirus pandemic. While there’s no news of their last few tour dates being rescheduled, for now, we can delight in all the new music on its way to us.

It’s great to see Kpop girl groups enjoy their time in the spotlight. Over the past few years the West has lapped up numerous male acts from the industry, particularly BTS, Monsta X, NCT 127 and EXO. The only other girl group that has made it just as big is BLACKPINK, who are now going to witness even more success after their latest collab with Lady Gaga drops.

And now, with TWICE joining the game, we can only hope that the world turns their attention to more Korean girl-groups. Because they are just as talented as their male counterparts.
