Swae Lee Dishes Out Details on Upcoming Album ‘Human Nature’
Just recently, Post Malone dished out details on his upcoming album and now, Swae Lee has taken a cue from the star and done the same. Though, unlike Posty, the latter has a name for his new album and it’s, ‘Human Nature’.
In a recent interview, Swae Lee touched upon the concept behind his upcoming album and also shed some light on how he ended up on the late Pop Smoke’s posthumous album.
“It’s gonna be huge,” Swae Lee confessed about his new record, “I’m breaking all the rules and I’m breaking all the boundaries. I’m making my own song formats and doing some production on there. I’m just doing what sounds good to the ear. People know me for a certain style, so I’m just giving them styles they didn’t even know I could do. Sonically, I’m scientific with it. I’m creating moods with my next album.”
Stepping out of one’s comfort zone and experimenting with new sounds is no simple feat. But it is also every artist’s dream. Musicians always hope to bring something new to the table and we’re curious to see what Swae Lee’s dish will taste like.
Swae Lee Discusses ‘Creature’
Now, coming to his collaboration with Pop Smoke. The track they worked on is titled, ‘Creature‘. Layered with a groovy bass line and melodic runs, the duo’s verses find a neat place to settle. Speaking about the track, Swae Lee mentioned that the song was actually crafted following the Brooklyn rapper’s passing. “Me and Pop spoke a few times and showed each other love from a distance. We ended up meeting at the Astroworld Festival,” he explained. “I did that song on another beat and Pop Smoke’s people had reached out saying, ‘We want to get y’all two on a record together.’ So I sent them that song thinking it would probably be a good fit for us. They pieced it together and it’s a smash.”
Now, while Swae Lee has not confirmed any release date for ‘Human Nature,’ he did promise that the record would arrive before the month of September wraps up. And so, the wait continues.
