How is Selena Gomez doing this? What. The singer has announced that she is going to add three unreleased songs on the deluxe version of her album, ‘Rare’. On the list is, ‘Boyfriend’, ‘She’ and ‘Souvenir’ which will be out on April 9th.
The fans are already speculating the beats and lyrics of ‘Boyfriend’ as Gomez shared a picture of herself on social media with the caption – ‘There’s a difference between a want and a need. Some nights I just want more than me’, well, that says it all. It’s a reminder that tunes like ‘Boyfriend’ are more about self-love than a sob story about a breakup.
She also mentioned, “Many of you know how excited I’ve been to release a song called ‘Boyfriend’, it’s a lighthearted song about falling down and getting back up time and time again in love, but also knowing that you don’t need anyone other than yourself to be happy.”
However, making sure to tell us that the song is not about her current love life, she added, “We wrote it long before our current crisis, but in the context of today, I want to be clear that a boyfriend is nowhere near the top of my list of priorities.
