RJ Rohit caught up with Indie artists, Chris Powell and Luke Kenny about their collaborative track ‘Sometimes’ and the inspiration behind it.
Chris Powell’s fans and the music community hold him in high regard for his effortless and natural drumming. He is one of the few and the first by a long shot to creatively combine acoustic and electronic drums in his hybrid setup, earning him recognition on a national scale. Chris received the ‘Deakin Rock Award 2016-17’ for his contributions to Indian rock music, and from 2013 to 2017, he served as the brand ambassador for the storied Roland V-Drums. Chris began his professional musical career in 1995 when he joined the then-dominant Indian super band, Euphoria. Over the course of nine fruitful years, Chris contributed to 2 hit albums and 1 single.
Luke Kenny, on the other hand, is an Indian actor, director, producer, composer and former VJ. He started out as a DJ before becoming the first male VJ on Channel V, where he garnered success and popularity. He became well-known for his performance in the 2008 rock musical drama ‘Rock On’! He has also acted in some major cinematic masterpieces. For his role as the hired mercenary Malcolm Murad in the series ‘Sacred Games’, Kenny gained limelight once again as an actor.
