RJ Rohit caught up with the Indie band, Gathering of Strangers about their brand-new track ‘My Thunder’ and their musical journey!
Gathering of Strangers are an Indie band from Manchester. They have gained quite some popularity in the last few years due to their captivating classic rock and the energy of modern-day Indie pop artists. The band members include Conor, Tom, Andre, Bruce and Peter, who come together to form an explosive guitar rock five-piece. The group is known for their thunderous high-octane energy, adrenalized anthemic vocals and rapacious riffs. The band is creating a dynamic driving force in the Indie rock scene.
Their latest song ‘My Thunder’ speaks of a person’s undying love and adoration for someone. The lyrics bring in analogies from nature asking if lightning cannot be without thunder, then when you truly love someone, how can you be without them. It’s not an obvious love song, but the lyrics make it the perfect song to send it to that one person you truly love the most. The song asks you to unleash that storm and let them know just how much they mean to you. ‘My Thunder’ has been influenced by Sam Fender, Inhaler, Red Rum Club, The Lathums and The Lottery Winners.
