RJ Rohit caught up with Indie artist, Prithvi Prakash about her new track ‘Butterfly’!

Prithvi Prakash is a singer-songwriter, who was born in Texas, USA but raised in Bangalore, India. Carnatic music served as the foundation for her musical career. She started composing at the age of 10, and her songwriting was influenced by Carnatic music. As part of her artistic vision, Prithvi wants to use each song to communicate a tale through sound, narrativising the song into a story. 

According to Prithvi Prakash, her song ‘Butterfly’ is written from the perspective of a mother who watches her young child grow up through all of life’s ups and downs. The song documents the journey of the mother who sees the child grow and become a person of their own. She just finished working on an EP and a song that will be released this year.
