Ananth Menon

RJ Rohit caught up with Indie artist, Ananth Menon about his upcoming performance at Sunday Soul Sante and his love for music.

Ananth Menon is a Bangalore based guitarist and singer. He has been active for the last 16 years in the Blues and Rock scenes, which is also why he is one of Bangalore’s most notable voices today. It was Eric Clapton that influenced him first and inspired him to pursue the world of Delta Blues. Once he was in the music scene, there was no looking back.

He began his musical journey as the bass player for one of Bangalore’s oldest Blues bands, the Chronic Blues Circus. He later also played for several other bands including the Galeej Gurus and Parachute XVI. He also established his name in the Chennai and Hyderabad movie industries, where he scored music for the movie ‘Vaibhava’. Ananth Menon’s project By2 Blues with Vasudev Prabhu and Joe Anthony also created a stir in the already established music scene of Bangalore.
