Aneesha

RJ Rohit caught up with Indie artist Aneesha about her new track ‘Just Want You’ and her musical journey.  

Aneesha, who has now made a name for herself as an Indie artist, vocalist/music producer and VO artist, grew up in Goa and was previously a child psychologist. She primarily focuses on her voice as her main instrument, which she has been training for the last three years. She has won many performance accolades in many premier venues, festivals, corporate and private events in Delhi. These include The American Embassy, Zomaland 2, BMW, The Piano Man and Home Delhi among many others. 

She released her first original music in 2020, and ever since she has worked with Kenzani and Tech Panda, Pranay Parti, Aman Sagar and many others. She admires many artists including Lauren Hill, Sade, The Internet, Sinead Harnett, Her, Banks, Litany and Tora. She primarily works with genres like pop, R&B and electronic spaces. As an independent artist, she has released a music video for ‘Inside Out’ and plans on releasing multiple projects in the coming year. 

Not only has Aneesha featured in Indian Music Diaries, Rock Street Journal, Outlook India, New Indian Express, she has also been playlisted many times in Electronic in India, New Music Friday India and Women of Indie India.
