Xperience Sessions With Tushar Vashisht And Raghuraman Ramasubramanian

RJ Rohit had a chat with Tushar Vashisht and Raghuraman Ramasubramanian. Tushar is a musician and CEO of HealthifyMe, a consumer health app. He is also a former investment banker. Vashisht is a trained Hindustani classical singer who, from 2005 to 2007, was a part of Penn Masala. The album’s lead single, ‘Pehchaan,’ which was composed by him, was released in 2007. In 2008, the song was featured on America’s Best of College A Capella.

Raghuraman Ramasubramanian is a guitarist and bassist based currently in Bangalore. He has studied independently under the likes of Aman Mahajan, Amit Heri, Lew Hilt and Sid Jacobs which helped him pursue a career as an educator and performer with a healthy sense of musical definitions.

Raghu is skilled in production, arranging and playing in a variety of genres, including Jazz, Pop, Fusion, Progressive Metal, Carnatic and Blues. He has performed with artists such as Sid Jacobs, Rotem Sivan, Fabio Bergamini, Pedro Carnero Silva, Luiza Sales, Karina Collis, Lucky Ali, Taufeeq Qureshi and Fasal Qureshi.

Tushar and Raghu collaborated on the track ‘Ud Ja Re’. The track honours taking a leap of faith in order to follow one’s passion and discover purpose. It’s based on their personal pursuits of music and entrepreneurship. It begins as a typical pop tune before transitioning to blues and rock. Tushar is on the vocals and Raghu is on the guitars.
