Glen Powell Says David Corenswet Received a Call For ‘Superman’ While on Twisters’ Set

In a recent panel discussion for a special screening of ‘Twisters,’ Glen Powell revealed an exciting behind-the-scenes moment involving his co-star, David Corenswet. According to Powell, Corenswet was on the set of the upcoming disaster film ‘Twisters’ when he received the life-changing call confirming his casting as Superman.

Powell, joined by the film’s lead Daisy Edgar-Jones, shared the story with the audience. “We all got the call, and we have it on camera of us all freaking out as he told us he’s Superman,” Powell said, highlighting the collective excitement among the cast and crew.

When asked if the footage of their celebration had been shared online, Powell responded, “No, it hasn’t. We’ll wait for the ‘Superman’ release.” It seems fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the candid reactions from the ‘Twisters’ set.

James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ is slated to hit cinemas in July 2025, marking the launch of the latest iteration of the DC Universe. The film will feature Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, among others.
