The lives of celebrities have always been a hot topic of discussion for us! This is a world we never get to see, but only interpret in our own ways. Doechii Performed ‘Persuasive’ And ‘Crazy’ at 2023 Billboard Women in Music
Doechii became Billboard’s 2023 Women in Music Rising Star at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. She also went on to perform two of her hits, a sultry rendition of ‘Persuasive’ and a ferocious take on ‘Crazy’. She was later presented with her award by Celesia Moore, her mother. “Girl, I done danced my shoe off,” she said while accepting her award. She walked onto the stage with a broken shoe for the remarkable moment. She has now joined the likes of singers who have previously received the award including Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Janelle Monáe. In a recent interview, she spoke of her five-year plan saying, “By year five I want to be at my peak. I want to be in my Sasha Fierce era, the top of my game with still a long way to go — but I want to reach my prime and never leave it.”
SZA’s Full Speech From The 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards!
SZA was honoured as the Woman of the Year at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards! Coi Leray introduced SZA to the audience, and Lizzo sang a message for the ‘Kill Bill’ singer via video. The album ‘SOS’ has topped the Billboard 200 for 10 weeks, and it is still right at the top of the charts. Here’s SZA’s full speech from the award ceremony: “I’m taped in here for high hell, y’all,” she said about her outfit for the night. “I just want to thank God and my parents are here, my mom and my dad and right here, and my whole team [at TDE], Punch [Terrence Henderson] and MeLisa [Heath] and Top [Anthony Tiffith] and Amber, who is my best friend, we were roommates in college, and now she just makes sure I don’t fall apart every single day. To RCA, just everybody.” She continued, “I don’t know. A couple days ago MeLisa was like – I was about to go on stage, I’m on tour right now, today is my day off – she was like, ‘You should take time to write your speech.’ And then it’s like, ’10 seconds to stage’ and it’s like, ‘OK.’ I didn’t write anything but that’s also who I am. I’m a very off the dome person. What I wanted to say is that there are so many women in this room right now, that I respect, so deeply. This could have been any of us in this room.”
