Celebrities Who Are a Part of The EGOT Winners Club

EGOT, an acronym for the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards, is the designation given to those who have won all four of those awards. These awards honour outstanding achievements in television, recording, film and Broadway theatre respectively. Earning the EGOT status has been referred to as the ‘grand slam’ of show business. 

As of 2022, seventeen people have achieved this feat. Actor Philip Michael Thomas coined the EGOT acronym in late 1984, when his role on the brand-new blockbuster series ‘Miami Vice’ made him instantly famous and he revealed his intention to accomplish the EGOT within five years. However, Thomas has never been a nominee for any of the EGOT awards. Take a look at all the EGOT winners below.
