‘Tarot’ Ending: Who Escapes The Horoscope Curse?

‘Tarot’ is making waves as one of the standout horror films of 2024, impressively blending inventive death scenes and eerie creature designs. The movie, pushing the limits of PG-13 horror, is captivating audiences on Netflix. Starring Avantika, Jacob Batalon, and Harriet Slater, ‘Tarot’ unfolds a chilling narrative when a group of friends discovers an old tarot deck at their Airbnb.

Set in a mansion rather than a cabin, ‘Tarot’ follows college friends as they encounter creepy relics and tarot cards, leading to deaths that align with their readings. The characters’ distinct personalities are tied to the tarot figures, adding complexity to the horror. Practical effects enhance the terrifying creature designs, particularly in scenes like Madelyn’s death, which showcases the film’s ability to evoke fear through both setting and character design.

As the survivors seek help from Alma Astron (Olwen Fouéré), they learn more about the cursed tarot cards. The lore reveals a vengeful astrologer from the 16th century who binds her soul to the cards, killing anyone who uses them. The film’s climax involves intense sequences, with Paige’s grisly death as a standout.
