Machine Gun Kelly & Songwriting: Gems From ‘Tickets to My Downfall’
Machine Gun Kelly has officially crossed a new milestone in his career and we couldn’t be prouder. The young star just earned his first No. 1 claim on the Billboard 200 Albums chart with his fifth studio album, “Tickets to My Downfall”. The set earned 126,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending October 1st.
Machine Gun Kelly crafted this album with a little help from Travis Barker of the iconic band, Blink-182. Interestingly, “Tickets to My Downfall” marks the first rock album to score the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 in over a year. The artist even took to Twitter to share his excitement over a brief statement. “Waited my entire career to repost this,” he captioned a picture of Billboard’s official announcement. Now, the album nurses a good 15 tracks and we figured, in celebration of Kelly’s new career high – we’d pick out the greatest gems from this record.
So, with “Tickets to My Downfall” under the microscope, we’re cherry-picking his brightest bits of songwriting that have lent to all the victories swarming around the album. And on that note, let’s dive right in, shall we?
