Taylor Swift & “Folklore”: A Tale of Victory
Taylor Swift’s “Folklore” has brought home yet another phenomenal feat. The young star has just scored her 39th total week at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart and her latest release has clearly had a strong hand to play in this win.
And in the meantime, 10 songs from “Folklore” continue to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, “Folklore” made its landing on 24th July and has skyrocketed through the charts ever since. Taking into consideration that Taylor didn’t carry out any promotional activity for the album, makes its chart wins even more impressive. Additionally, to see the star step away from her usual pop bangers and delve more into the country-folk genre not only highlights her versatility – but also shows us that there’s no telling what will click with fans and the charts. Either way, we couldn’t be prouder.
And so, to understand the enormity of “Folklore’s” wins, we’re going to run you through them. So, take a seat, this class is in session.

6. With the 16 charted songs, Taylor also raced past Nicki Minaj as the woman with the most Hot 100 entries of all time with a total of 113 entries.
7. Swift then went on to conquer yet another chart: Eleven tracks from “Folklore” landed on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, setting a new record for the most top-10 entries by an artist.
8. “Folklore” also became Swift’s fifth consecutive No. 1 album in the UK, making her one of only five female artists to score at least five chart-toppers in the country. On the list is Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion.
9. And while we’re on the topic, with “Folklore” becoming Swift’s fifth consecutive No. 1 album in the UK, it marks her as the first female artist to achieve this feat in the twenty-first century.
10. And finally, with Taylor completing her 39 week run atop the Billboard Artist 100, she sets the record for the most time spent at No. 1, dating to the chart’s 2014 launch. Oh, what a glorious way to end the week, huh?
