Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ is This Week’s Top New Album, According To Fans

‘Renaissance’, Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, has won this week’s new music poll.
Fans of music chose the superstar singer’s first solo studio album since 2016’s ‘Lemonade’ as their favourite new music release in a survey that was released on Billboard on 29th July.
Blackpink’s ‘Ready For Love’ music video, Rosala’s ‘Despechá, ’Hayley Kiyoko’s ‘Panorama,’ Maggie Rogers’ ‘Surrender’ and $uicideboy$’s ‘Surrender’ all received less support than ‘Renaissance’, which received over 57 percent of the vote (Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation).
‘Renaissance’ is ‘Act 1’ of three recordings made over a period of three years during the epidemic. Grace Jones, BEAM and Tems contribute vocals to the 16-song album, which also boasts production help from Jay-Z, Drake, Skrillex, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rodgers and others.
The first single from ‘Renaissance’ was the house-influenced ‘Break My Soul,’ which was released in late June. On 7th July, the song was placed at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, giving Beyoncé her 20th top 10 as a solo artist.
The historic album ‘Lemonade’ by Queen Bey, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and delivered Beyoncé her sixth chart-topping album, was followed up with Renaissance. The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Jack White and James Blake all made appearances on the set.
The music video for BLACKPINK’s recently released song ‘Ready For Love,’ which received about 15% of the vote, came in second place on the voting results from the previous week. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, the K-pop quartet, originally debuted the song in their recent in-game concert for PUBG Mobile, titled ‘THE VIRTUAL,’ in which the members sang a medley of their hits while assuming virtual versions of their real-life selves.
