Demi Lovato Revisits Her Childhood Through “Camp Rock”

Demi Lovato took her fans on a trip down memory lane as she revisited her 2008 film “Camp Rock.” Along with her boyfriend, Max Ehrich, she cringed and gave us running commentary that she documented on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Lovato played the character of an aspiring singer, Mitchie Torres, in the Disney Original film which also starred the three Jonas Brothers as a fictional music trio, Connect 3. The Matthew Diamond-directed film is about an aspiring singer (Lovato) who attends a musical summer camp where she finds friendship and romance.

In her series of stories, Demi giggles and jokes about several scenes of the movie in which she was just 16 years old. While watching the performance of ‘Our Time is Here’ she comments on the song “This sh*t slaps, not gonna lie.” Along with lots of cry-laughing emojis and laughter, she constantly commented on how ‘awkward’ she was.

Additionally, she points out all the similarities between her younger self and her sister, Madison De La Garza during a scene between her and Alyson Stoner.

The sequel of the film, Camp Rock 2, released 2 years later in 2010. Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato have both joked about releasing a third installment of the Camp Rock series. I guess we are never going to see that happen but let’s just live with that hope.

In an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show in 2017, Demi said, “We want to come out with an R-Rated Camp Rock 3. I mean, all of our fans have now grown up and so anybody that watched Camp Rock is now older and can appreciate it.”
