Diplo And Mark Ronson Hint At Return Of Silk City

American DJ and record producer, Diplo, and English-American record producer, DJ and songwriter Mark Ronson, released “Silk City” almost two years ago. We still think about the banger ‘Electricity’ that featured the then-rising star, Dua Lipa.

“Silk City” has various pop-leaning house songs featuring artists like Dua Lipa, Daniel Merriwether, and Designer. 

Now the duo has released a teaser of their new track on Instagram and Twitter, along with a short announcement.

It’s Been A Minute

Diplo and Mark Ronson took to social media to announce their upcoming work. It doesn’t give us much information except for a10-second clip featuring a warm and synthy early ’80s sounding track. The visuals make us feel as though we are stepping into an empty nightclub lit by a glittering disco ball. 

As of now, we are still unclear on when the music will drop or who will sing. “who u think is on the record?” Diplo asked in the comments section of his post, with guesses ranging from Ellie Goulding and Miley Cyrus to Axl Rose. Both Diplo and Ronson have links leading to a landing page for something called New Love Club. Pretty sus, right?

Several pleading tweets from fans flooded the DJ’s handles. Ronson toyed with them, asking Diplo, “should we tell them who’s on the track or just let them guess?”

“It’s been a minute.”, Diplo says, addressing Mark Ronson. We agree it’s about time! 

An Electrifying Collab

Mark Ronson and Diplo’s track ‘Electricity’ featuring the brilliant Dua Lipa gained worldwide success. ‘Electricity’ won the Grammy award for Best Dance Recording in 2018. 

A duo like Silk City isn’t new for Diplo. He is one-half of the duo Major Lazer, and Jack Ü, and LSD. 

Mark Ronson is also known for collaborating with global pop stars like Miley Cyrus, Amy Winehouse, and Bruno Mars. He won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy for co-writing the song ‘Shallow’ sung by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
