Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Skirk's Strong Synergy With Escoffier and Furina

A newly surfaced Genshin Impact video leak has highlighted the impressive team synergy between the highly anticipated character Skirk and others like Escoffier and the Hydro Archon, Furina. As with every major update, Genshin Impact’s beta phase provides early access to upcoming content, including new characters, weapons, and locations, allowing leaks to emerge ahead of official announcements.

Although Skirk's debut has not been officially confirmed by HoYoverse, several recent leaks from the beta version of Genshin Impact strongly indicate that she will be introduced as a playable character in Version 5.7. She isn’t the only newcomer expected in this update—players can also look forward to Dahlia, a new four-star character.

GAME

A post from GI Kitchen on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shared gameplay footage from the Version 5.7 beta, showcasing Skirk in action alongside Dahlia, Escoffier, and Furina. While the damage output shown might not reflect final in-game values due to the nature of beta testing, the video highlights Skirk’s compatibility with this lineup. Escoffier, in particular, appears to be an ideal support option for her. The chef from Fontaine boosts elemental damage, which enhances Skirk’s capabilities significantly. This has prompted some players to reconsider pulling for Escoffier—even just her base version—because of her effectiveness with Skirk.

Genshin Impact

Though there had been speculation that Skirk might introduce a new element, recent footage confirms she will be a Cryo character.

The showcased team revolves around the Frozen elemental reaction, which immobilizes enemies, making them vulnerable to follow-up attacks. In the leaked video, enemies remain largely stationary due to continuous Frozen triggers, reinforcing the reaction’s reputation as one of the most reliable in the game. Furina remains a key part of this strategy, offering powerful off-field damage and buffs through her Salon Members, solidifying her role as the top Hydro support.

While some fans believe replacing Dahlia with another support might improve the team even further, the video still does a good job of demonstrating her utility, especially given that she’s likely to appear on the same banner as Skirk.

If HoYoverse sticks to its regular update schedule, players can expect both Skirk and Dahlia to be featured in the first phase of Version 5.7, which is expected to go live in mid-June.
