Is Bon Iver Hinting at New Music?

Justin Vernon of Bon Iver has sparked speculation of a musical comeback after sharing a cryptic video on social media. The 'Skinny Love' singer posted a monochrome clip on Instagram, possibly hinting at a new single or album. In the video, a clapperboard is held in front of Vernon, which is then moved to reveal him wearing a western-style shirt and a wide-brimmed hat, his eyes obscured as he looks down.

The screen then fades to black, displaying the website boniver.org, followed by the word ‘Jagjaguwar’. Fans quickly flooded the comments with excitement over the mysterious teaser.

“I’m gonna be sick on the carpet oh my GOD ITS HAPPENING,” wrote one fan while another shared: “It’s autumn he’s defrosting.”

The official Bon Iver website directs fans to a pre-save page, though it doesn’t specify whether it’s for a single or an album. Fans can join a mailing list and pre-save the release on major streaming platforms. Bon Iver recently played a brief set at a rally for current US Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin last month.

In other news, Franz Ferdinand have revealed that their latest single, ‘Audacious,’ is set to drop later this week. The Scottish rockers teased the new track on their social media, posting a video featuring keyboardist and synthesizer player Miaoux Miaoux, a.k.a. Julian Victor Corrie, caught off guard by something that completely captures his attention.
