Nas Joins Forces with Hit-Boy For A New Release

The legendary rapper, Nas, recently dropped a thrilling little surprise on his fans. It turns out that the seasoned star plans to release new music with his producer, Hit-Boy, next week. There’s no clarity as to whether this will be just a single or a full-length album, but we’re pumped nonetheless.

Nas took to social media to break the news with an intriguing teaser. In the brief clip he shared, Nas is seen working with Hit-Boy in their studio. There are brief shots of audio files being edited on a monitor, interspersed with Nas gushing about the producer. And oddly enough, this clip is set to the sound of an orchestra piece, which gradually rises to a crescendo before the screen turns black and just the digits ‘8.21’ show up.

“I’ve been trying to do this with this man for years,” Nas is heard saying in the clip, “We’ve got the time, that alignment.”

Now, just for some context, Hit-Boy has amassed an impressive catalogue of songs that he’s produced. On the list is  “N**gas in Paris” by Jay-Z and Kanye West, “Trophies” by Drake, and the Grammy-winning “Racks in the Middle” by Nipsey Hussle featuring the up and coming Roddy Ricch. He’s also had a large part to play in “Drop the World” by Lil Wayne, “Sorry” by Beyoncé, and the chart-topping “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott.

So, it’s no surprise that Nas has been itching to work alongside him. Now, if his forthcoming release does happen to be an album, it will be his 13th, following 2018’s “Nasir“. The album held a good 7 tracks and now, here’s hoping that the rap star blesses us with even more.
