Niall Horan recently dished out some gossip on his former band mate, Zayn Malik and well, it looks like the ongoing cold war between the two isn’t going to end anytime soon!
Horan opened up about their fall out, confessing that they still remain on frosty terms until this day. In fact, he even admitted that Zayn was “the hardest man to stay in touch with” and now, you’ve got to remember that this is the first time the singer has actually spoken about their relationship so honestly.
Niall continued, “Then we had a falling out a few years ago and, to be honest, that’s just the dynamic: you have people you are friends with and people you are not.”
“We don’t get to see each other as much as we’d like to, but we try. I talk to Louis a lot. It’s the lads with the kids that you try to keep in touch with especially, just to see how they are,” Horan added.
While the boys were extremely close during their One Direction days, internal politics always finds a way of escaping all public footage of their interactions. Simply put, we only see the sunny side of things. Zayn’s frustration with the kind of music he was working on, possibly also wore away his relationship with his band mates.
And not to mention, industrial pressure was definitely just the icing on the cake. But, despite their terribly frayed relationship, it appears that Niall has come to terms with it. “I’ve got no bad blood with him at all but some things have a lifespan,” he said
