Revenant Temporarily Vaulted in Apex Legends Season 25

Respawn Entertainment has taken Revenant out of Apex Legends for the time being after a serious bug involving his Ultimate ability surfaced in Season 25. Although Revenant typically isn’t among the most-picked Legends, a recent exploit turned him into a nearly unstoppable force, prompting swift action from the developers.

Season 25 launched on May 6, bringing fresh content and features to the game. Among the most notable additions is the introduction of Sparrow—the first new Legend since Alter debuted back in Season 21. The update also marked the return of Arenas as a limited-time mode, along with a series of balance adjustments to Legends and weapons to keep gameplay dynamic. However, the new season hasn’t been without issues. Several bugs have already been reported, with one particularly severe glitch giving Revenant invincibility while using his Ultimate, Forged Shadows.

The bug made Revenant immune to damage under certain conditions, allowing players to exploit the issue and dominate opponents unfairly, especially in Ranked matches. To prevent further imbalance, Respawn confirmed via social media that Revenant has been temporarily removed while the team works on a fix. The glitch is reportedly affecting multiple game modes, including Arenas and Mixtape, making the issue more widespread than initially thought. At present, Revenant has been taken out of the Legend Locker and is no longer visible in the Skirmisher class lineup. There’s no clear ETA for his return.

Although Respawn hasn’t publicly shown the exploit, gameplay clips have surfaced online showing how it works. Apex Legends YouTuber bobz demonstrated that Revenant could trigger the invincibility bug by activating his Ultimate and then getting hit with a grenade. This interaction allowed Revenant to absorb endless damage while in shadow form, giving players an unfair advantage during engagements.

This isn’t the only bug that’s surfaced in Season 25. Another recent issue involved the new Legend Sparrow, whose Stinger Bolt reportedly caused game crashes when used on Mirage during his Ultimate. While Respawn has already issued a fix for that particular problem, more issues continue to arise as players explore the latest patch.

Fans of Revenant will no doubt be eager to see him rejoin the roster soon. Although there are plenty of other strong Legends to choose from, his sudden removal is a letdown for those who favor his aggressive, high-risk playstyle. Until a fix is ready, players will have to wait for his shadowy return.
