The Wait is Over , Louis Tomlinson has Dropped “Walls”

Louis Tomlinson finally released his debut solo album, ‘Walls’, making him the last former One Direction member to drop a solo project. This one’s been years in the making, and Tomlinson got all the support he needed after it dropped. That is, all except for one member.

Yup, you guessed it, Zayn Malik is the culprit and it looks like Louis isn’t ready to patch things up with the former One Direction member. In fact, he even admitted that he thought that Zayn was being quite ‘disrespectful’ after he dubbed 1D’s music as ‘generic’.

Louis opened up about their tense relationship, “I’ve not actively tried. We’ve all got a lot on our plates and there might be a day where I wake up and think, ‘OK, I want to right that wrong’, but not yet,” he explained.

Malik was the first to split from the band when they reached the peak of their career, by then One Direction had become quite the global phenomenon, amassing a huge fanbase and releasing hit after hit. But perhaps, it just wasn’t for Zayn. He has clearly stated on multiple occasions that, he didn’t enjoy the kind of music they were putting out there. He added that there was often “no room to experiment”.

To some extent, Louis did sympathize with him over this, “But I can understand it. We have a lot of situations where we’re sat in interviews and if you’re in a certain mood you might run your mouth. The older you get the more you can tell if these things actually carry any malice or if they’re just a prod in the back. That’s life, innit? Sometimes people chat s*** and that’s the reality,” he added.

And yet, there’s more to the story. Tomlinson’s faced a lot of hardships over the past few years and it looks like Malik was simply absent for a large part of it. While he did offer his support every now and then, perhaps Louis was looking for more than a simply chat over the phone, especially considering that they’ve known each other since they were trainees.

But, on the bright side, Liam Payne did not hesitate to celebrate the release of this album. He took to Twitter to send this sweet message to his former bandmate, “Congrats @Louis_Tomlinson huge day for you can’t wait to check it out later well done man through all your wins and your hard times you did it,” he wrote.

Well, we do hope that Louis and Zayn can patch up their relationship soon, but for now, if you haven’t listened to ‘Walls’ yet, it’s high time you do!
