Tones and I Recruits blackbear for New Remix: Listen

Tones and I has called on rapper, singer, ‘blackbear’, for a brand new remix of her hit single, ‘Ur So F**king Cool’. The singer announced the release earlier today, taking to Instagram to share the news. 

The latest single from the ‘Dance Monkey’ hitmaker swept the music world off its feet upon release. The track, which was released on the 29th of May this year, takes a dig at “influencer culture” and all its superficiality.

Further, the track was picked up for radio play instantly and hasn’t left the circuit since. In addition, it marks a more successful release from Tones and I, following the average reception of her post Dance Monkey singles – ‘Bad Child’ and ‘Can’t Be Happy All the Time’.

And, now, the track has been picked up by pop music favourite, ‘blackbear’ for a trippy remix. The producer and musician lends his voice to an entire verse, following in the same vein theme-wise. He sings, “My friends treat me like possessions/ Everyday lonely, a little bit reflection/ We don’t need an inconsession.”

Further, he quips, “Say you love me, I’m feeling low/ And everybody is on their phone/ I smell like whiskey and cigarette smoke/ But now it’s bloody, I wanna go home.”
