The nine-year-old, brimming with enthusiasm, expressed a fervent desire to forge a friendship with none other than the acclaimed singer-songwriter, Billie Eilish.

In a candid moment captured in the Instagram video, Keys, known for her candour and warmth, humorously recounted Genesis’s persistent requests to reach out to Eilish. “Genesis… you know that he is really pushy,” Keys affectionately remarked, illustrating her son’s unwavering determination when fixated on a goal.

Keys, amused by her son’s charm, affectionately repeats his introduction, “I’m Alicia Keys’ son, so…” before sharing the heartwarming moment when Eilish reciprocates with a video message of her own.

As Genesis watches Eilish’s response with palpable excitement, Keys beams with maternal pride, revelling in the joy of her son’s budding connection with his musical idol. Beyond her role as a doting mother to Genesis and Egypt, whom she shares with husband Swizz Beatz, Keys also embraces the role of stepmother to Beatz’s three children from previous relationships.
