Alicia Keys Talks About The Time Her Son Met Taylor Swift

Singer-songwriter Alicia Keys recently shared a heartwarming story about her son’s encounter with music superstar Taylor Swift on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’. Keys, revealed her youngest son, Genesis, is a full-fledged Swiftie, a moniker for Taylor Swift’s devoted fanbase.

Their journey began at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards. A young Genesis, then just 9 years old, found himself seated next to Swift during the ceremony. Host Jimmy Fallon even shared a clip of the encounter, where a playful Genesis could be seen waving at Swift while his mom was on stage.

This initial meeting sparked a genuine connection. Genesis had the opportunity to meet Swift again during a stop on her Eras Tour. Keys publicly acknowledged Swift’s kindness on social media, praising her “big beautiful spirit that makes everyone feel loved.”

A recent encounter, however, highlighted the depth of Swift’s connection with fans, particularly young ones. Keys recounted Genesis’s pre-meeting jitters, worried that Swift wouldn’t remember him. “She knew me since I was three, right, Mom?'” Keys mimicked her son’s adorable concern.

Thankfully, the reunion was a success. Keys shared a glimpse of the heartwarming interaction – a sweet kiss on the cheek from Swift and a handwritten note addressed to Genesis. In the note, Swift expressed her excitement about seeing him at the concert and even referred to him as her “friend.”

This heartwarming story extends beyond a celebrity encounter. Genesis’s fandom isn’t limited to Swift, as Keys revealed his admiration for Billie Eilish as well. While Eilish’s message to Genesis remains private, Swift’s handwritten note left a lasting impression, solidifying her reputation for kindness and fostering a special bond with a young fan.
