Andrew Scott is earning widespread acclaim for his portrayal in 'Ripley.' The eight-episode series features Scott in the role of Tom Ripley, a character known for his cunning, deceit and violence. While Scott's performance has been lauded, the actor himself expresses hesitation about taking on dark roles on screen.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Fleabag star revealed his reluctance to delve into dark characters after his portrayal of a Bond villain in the 2015 film 'Spectre.' Scott admitted, "Doing evil roles is not a territory that I feel like I would want to go over again. Now that I know who I am a little bit more, I feel like the work that I’m just interested in doing is more in the grey areas."
