Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie turned heads and stole the spotlight at the Paris premiere of her much-anticipated drama, 'Couture,' on 9th February. At 50 years old, Jolie looked gorgeous in a breathtaking sheer sequined gown by Givenchy, a floor-length creation that shimmered with silver and gold floral decorations as she walked the red carpet at the Pathé Palace. Champagne-hued and daring yet elegant, her outfit perfectly reflected the high-fashion world depicted in the film—combining cinematic storytelling with unapologetic style.

A Red Carpet Moment to Remember

Angelina Jolie's appearance on the 'Couture' red carpet was nothing short of spectacular. Under the camera flashes, she appeared to be shimmering like liquid metal in a semi-sheer Givenchy gown embellished with elaborate sequins and floral embroidery. The dress was a daring yet elegant embracing of the "naked dress" trend, with beaded fringe along the hem and sleeves, an asymmetrical design, and a nude-mesh base that subtly showed flashes of skin.

Jolie accessorized the breathtaking gown with heart-shaped diamond earrings, traditional black pointed-toe heels, and eye-catching handcrafted Garatti jewelry, which included a stunning 15-carat green diamond ring.

Her makeup, which leaned more towards old-Hollywood glam with metallic eyeshadow and a matte nude lip, completed an ensemble that seemed both contemporary and classic. Her honey-blonde hair was worn in soft waves with a deep side part. As the cameras followed her every step, Jolie’s poised presence reflected why her fashion choices remain as influential as her on-screen personas.

'Couture': Film, Role, and Artistic Ambition

'Couture' isn't just a fashion showcase—it's a deeply emotional and stylistically rich film directed by Alice Winocour that explores the intersection of art, ambition, personal struggle, and resilience against the energetic backdrop of Paris Fashion Week. Jolie plays American filmmaker Maxine Walker, who travels to Paris to chronicle the hectic world of haute couture while juggling her own personal struggles, such as a breast cancer diagnosis entwined with demands from her family and career.

The film is noteworthy for being the first fictional feature to be filmed inside Chanel's actual Paris showroom and ateliers, giving viewers an unprecedented look into the inner workings of one of the most illustrious fashion houses. It also stars a talented ensemble cast that includes Louis Garrel, Ella Rumpf, Garance Marillier, Anyier Anei, and Finnegan Oldfield. Jolie's connection to both fashion and women's health lends added depth to her portrayal, as the narrative moves beyond surface spectacle into moments of vulnerability and human resilience.

The film previously premiered on the festival circuit in September 2025 (including at the Toronto International Film Festival on 7th September, 2025), but its general release for theaters is set for 18th February, 2026. The film's promotion began with the Paris premiere, and with Jolie's gorgeous appearance setting the tone, 'Couture' is sure to be one of the most talked-about movies of the year for its celebration of creativity, strength, and style in addition to its stunning cinematography.
