Anna Wintour dropped by the set of 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' and instantly stole the moment, confidently sharing her sharp fashion instincts and making sure everything looked just right.
During filming, director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna revealed that Wintour stopped by while they were shooting a scene inside Dior's offices, where Emily Blunt's character Emily Charlton now works.
While watching the scene, Anna Wintour quickly pointed out a detail that didn't feel right. She noticed too many flowers in the setup and explained that Dior would typically only display white flowers, not pink ones. Acting on her advice, the team immediately changed the arrangement to a simple vase of white flowers.

Anna Wintour Spent Time With The Cast
Wintour also spent time with the cast, posed for photos, and even filmed a fun extra scene. However, that moment didn't go perfectly, as she moved ahead of her cue, making the shot slightly out of focus. The filmmakers chose not to ask her to redo it.
The original 'The Devil Wears Prada,' starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, was inspired by Lauren Weisberger's novel. The iconic character Miranda Priestly is widely believed to be partly based on Anna Wintour.

Interestingly, Streep has said she wasn't aware of that connection when she first played the role. At the time, she chose not to study Wintour and instead created her own version of the character based on how she imagined a powerful editor would behave.
Over the years, Streep and Wintour have become more familiar with each other. Ahead of the sequel, Wintour even reached out to ask what the new film would be like, and Streep reassured her that it would turn out well.
