Hold on to your hats – ‘Chicago’ just smashed its own record after 27 years in the spotlight and it's all thanks to the fabulous Ariana Madix taking the lead!
In the week of 29th January to 4th February 2024, Broadway's iconic ‘Chicago’ hit a whopping $939,177.40 in earnings, making it the highest-grossing non-holiday performance week in its impressive history.
This jaw-dropping achievement left the previous record of $926,363.35 in the dust, which was set back in the week of 20-26 March 2023. Ariana, making her Broadway debut on 29th January, is stealing the show as Roxie Hart, and she's not here for a long time, just a good time. Her eight-week limited engagement is set to wrap up on 24th March.

But wait, there's more star power on that stage! The current lineup includes Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Max von Essen as Billy Flynn, Lili Thomas as Matron 'Mama' Morton, Red Concepción as Amos Hart and J. London as Mary Sunshine.
And you know it's a big deal when Broadway World shared the record-breaking news on Instagram and Ariana herself jumped in to celebrate the show's phenomenal success. Now that's what we call a standing ovation-worthy performance!
