With nine nominations in all major categories, 'One Battle After Another' has been the most nominated movie at the 46th annual London Critics' Circle Film Awards. These include Leonardo DiCaprio's Actor of the Year, Paul Thomas Anderson's Director of the Year, Screenwriter of the Year, and Film of the Year. The film's impressive performance puts it ahead of well-known competitors like 'Sinners,' which garnered seven nominations, and 'Hamnet,' which received eight.

A wide variety of genres, including genre horror and historical dramas, were represented in the other films honoured this year, but none of them could top One Battle After Another's total. "At a time when A.I. and homogeneity seem to be the shorthand answer to everything, it's encouraging to see the films that our members voted for are teeming with human life, creativity, and unique perspectives," Jane Crowther, London Critics' Circle film section chair, said in a statement.

The London Critics' Circle selections also celebrates international and emerging talent, showcasing a global snapshot of cinematic excellence for 2025. "Boasting bold, vital stories, real experiences, and artistry, these movies and their creative teams are evidence that not everything can be made by an algorithm. The LFCC is delighted to be inviting such a diverse group of artists to our awards in February to celebrate their achievements," Crowther added.
