Ben Affleck is Buying $20M L.A. Home After Listing Mansion Shared With Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck has recently purchased a new $20 million house in Los Angeles, according to reports.

The 5-bedroom property closed escrow earlier this week, as reported by TMZ. This move comes after Affleck, 51, and his wife Jennifer Lopez listed their Beverly Hills home for $68 million in July amid ongoing marital issues. They had bought the mansion for $60,850,000 in May 2023, shortly after their wedding in July 2022.

Affleck’s representative has not yet commented on the report. Celebrity realtor Josh Flagg, who is not involved in either property, suggested earlier this month that Affleck and Lopez, 54, listing their home at a price close to what they paid indicates a strong desire to sell. Flagg added that they might either break even or incur a small loss on the sale.

Although neither Affleck nor Lopez has publicly addressed the state of their marriage, a source told PEOPLE in June that they "don’t have any summer plans together" and are focusing on their separate lives. Reports in May had already noted that Affleck and Lopez had started living apart due to tensions in their relationship.

Affleck hosted a graduation party for his son Samuel at a rental home in Brentwood, where both Jennifer Garner and Lopez attended. Despite the separation, both Affleck and Lopez wore their wedding rings at Samuel’s graduation ceremony earlier that day.

By late June, Affleck had moved his belongings out of the Beverly Hills home before Lopez returned from a European trip. Sources have indicated that he continues to reside at the Brentwood rental and appears focused on work and spending time with his children.
