Jennifer Lopez Overwhelmed by 55th Birthday Wishes: “I Have Laughed, Smiled, Shed Some Tears”

​​In the early hours of the day following her birthday, Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message reflecting on the celebrations. The singer, dressed in pale blue silk pyjamas adorned with “JL's Golden Bday” and the date, beamed with joy as she celebrated her special day surrounded by a large cake and numerous floral arrangements.

Lopez posed for the photos in front of a "Happy Birthday" sign, donning a festive birthday headband and playfully holding a party blower. In her Instagram caption, she expressed her deep gratitude for the outpouring of birthday wishes, saying, “I’ve been seeing all of your birthday wishes, beautiful videos, and posts all last night and this morning from all over the world.

I laughed, smiled, shed some tears, and when I saw the billboard in Times Square, I was completely overwhelmed.” The billboard, which featured a “Happy Birthday Jennifer Lopez” message, was also highlighted in one of her Instagram Stories.

The ‘On the Floor’ singer further reflected on her journey, sharing, “It’s hard to believe we have spent all this time together. It’s funny as I sit here contemplating on the most extraordinary journey I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes frightened but always full of love on the inside. I have so much love for you.”

Lopez also conveyed her appreciation for her fans, stating, “I want you to know on my birthday that YOU are my biggest gift. Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times. I can always count on you. And I want you to know that you can always count on me. Thank you for your caring, your understanding, your loyalty and most importantly your love.”

Reports have confirmed that Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, was not present at the birthday festivities. Amid rumours of marital discord, Lopez has been spending time on the East Coast after a European trip, while Affleck has remained in California. A source close to Lopez mentioned, “Her summer isn't exactly what she originally had planned, but she's making the best of it. She's always grateful for family time.”
