Beyoncé and the Beyhive are marking a significant milestone, the 10th anniversary of her game-changing self-titled surprise visual album. On 13th December 2013, Queen Bey dropped the 14-track record on iTunes without any prior heads-up, accompanied by a whopping 17 music videos.
Among the standout tracks, 'Partition' and 'Haunted' snagged two music videos each, a nod to their intricate compositions. But there was a sneaky bonus video hanging around, unattached to any audio track – 'Grown Woman.' For ten years, fans could only catch it on YouTube, where it racked up an impressive 145 million views. The Jake Nava-directed video, released in honour of the album's first anniversary, featured Beyoncé in her childhood home, belting out lyrics edited into her mouth.
'Grown Woman' has finally hit streaming platforms as Beyoncé's second gift to fans to celebrate the album's anniversary. The Afrobeats-infused single, co-written by powerhouses like The Dream and Timbaland, boasts a production dream team.
