Beyoncé Might Have Covered Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ For Her Upcoming Album

Following Dolly Parton’s vocal support for Beyoncé’s historic achievement as the first Black woman to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, speculations arose about a potential collaboration between the country legend and the superstar on Beyoncé’s upcoming album, ‘Act II.’

While it’s not confirmed whether fans can expect a duet, Parton hinted that Beyoncé might include a cover of one of her iconic hits on the album. In an interview with Knox News, Parton revealed, “I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about.”

The country icon expressed her admiration for Beyoncé, describing her as a “beautiful girl” and a “great singer.”

Parton previously showed her support for Beyoncé when her single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ made history on the Country chart. Parton took to social media to congratulate Beyoncé on her Billboard Hot Country number one single and expressed anticipation for the full album release. The announcement garnered praise from various artists, including Morgane Stapleton and Queen Latifah.

Beyoncé unveiled ‘Act II’ during the 2024 Super Bowl, debuting its lead singles, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ’16 Carriages.’ While ’16 Carriages’ didn’t reach the top spot on the Hot Country Songs chart, it still secured a spot in the top 10, debuting at No. 9.

‘Act II’ is set to be released on 29th March.
