Camila Cabello, the renowned pop sensation, has stepped into the limelight as Bacardí’s latest global face, a revelation made by the brand recently. The unveiling of her first commercial for the renowned rum empire showcases a dynamic fusion of music, Caribbean culture and artistic expression.

The commercial, titled ‘Do What Moves You’ and directed by Nicolás Méndez, features Cabello’s electrifying new single ‘I Luv It’ that sets the tone for a vibrant journey through a Caribbean cityscape. From bustling bars and vibrant strip malls to sun-kissed beaches and lively rooftop parties, the commercial captures the essence of Bacardí’s spirited ethos.

Cabello’s collaboration with Bacardí took her to the vibrant capital city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic for the commercial shoot. Following a day filled with creativity and energy on set, Cabello shared her excitement about being Bacardí’s new face and hinted at her upcoming musical endeavours.

Hailing from Cuba and raised in Miami, Cabello felt a deep connection with Bacardí due to its rich Caribbean heritage. She expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting her grandmother’s fondness for the iconic Cuba Libre cocktail and her upbringing surrounded by Bacardí’s influence in Miami.

The commercial’s aesthetic was carefully crafted to reflect Cabello’s streetwise yet sensual style. Renowned makeup artist Ash K Holm created a striking look with a smoky eye and bold lip, complementing the cool, matte tones chosen for the shoot. Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos aimed for an edgy yet effortless vibe, opting for a wet hair look that exuded a sense of cool confidence throughout the day.

Celebrity stylist Jared Ellner curated Cabello’s wardrobe, blending knitwear with a denim skirt and stylish boots to capture a playful yet chic ensemble. This eclectic mix reflects Cabello’s current fashion preferences, embracing a sense of mismatched charm with a touch of chaos and allure.
