Cardi B Announces Third Pregnancy Following Divorce Filing From Offset
Cardi B is expecting another baby! The ‘I Like It’ rapper, 31, announced her pregnancy and shared the news on Instagram. She posted photos of herself in a red dress, showing off her baby bump, along with a heartfelt message.
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you; you have brought me more love, more life, and most of all renewed my power!” Cardi wrote. “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish.”
She continued, “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!” Cardi’s announcement came just a day after filing for divorce from her husband Offset, 32, after six years of marriage. A representative confirmed that the divorce was not due to cheating rumours but had been a long time coming.

Reports state that Cardi is seeking primary custody of their children, son Wave Set, 2½, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6. Offset also has three other children from previous relationships. In December 2023, during an Instagram Live, Cardi revealed that she had been single for a while and was unsure how to break the news. “I’ve been single for a minute now,” she said. “But I have been afraid … Not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world.”
Cardi had been hinting at the split by unfollowing Offset and posting cryptic messages. Despite their separation, they spent time together on New Year’s Eve, collaborated on a music video in March, attended a Knicks game in May, and Cardi mentioned in a Rolling Stone interview that they were “all right now” because they love each other and are best friends.
Balancing motherhood and her career, Cardi spoke about seeking a nanny and relying on her parents, though she felt overwhelmed. “My kids come first. My kids come before anything,” she said.
Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has been tumultuous since their marriage in September 2017, often due to his alleged infidelity. They announced a split in 2018, reconciled, and Cardi filed for divorce again in September 2020, which was later called off.
In a 2020 interview with ELLE, Cardi described their relationship as full of drama, love, passion, trust, and friendship. “It’s always us against the world,” she said. Offset has expressed gratitude for their blended family, telling Essence in April 2022, “It’s a blessing to have them all together and a wife who treats them as if they’re her kids. It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that, and that’s beautiful.”
