Chris Brown Sued for $50 Million Over Alleged Assault at Texas Concert

Chris Brown, along with several of his acquaintances and the promoter of his ’11:11′ Tour, Live Nation, has been sued for $50 million over an alleged assault that reportedly took place after a concert in Fort Worth, Texas. The lawsuit was filed in Harris County district court accusing Brown and his entourage of severely beating four men backstage at Dickies Arena.

The incident allegedly occurred after the four men, Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell, were invited backstage to a VIP area following the concert. According to the lawsuit, the men waited for 30 minutes for Brown to arrive before deciding to leave. As they were exiting, Brown and his entourage allegedly confronted them. One of Brown’s associates reportedly reminded the singer of an old dispute with one of the plaintiffs, which allegedly prompted Brown to instruct his entourage to attack the men.

The plaintiffs claim that seven to ten men, including Brown, participated in the assault, using chairs and fists to attack them before eventually stomping on them. The lawsuit names three of Brown’s associates—Sinko Ceej, Hood Boss, and Yella Beezy—as defendants. The plaintiffs’ legal team also highlighted the alleged criminal histories of some of the defendants, noting previous charges and convictions.

The lawsuit accuses Live Nation of continuing to work with Brown despite his history of violent behaviour, thereby prioritising profits over safety. The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory and punitive damages in addition to the $50 million in damages.
