Murphy’s love for Versace is well known; this was made clear by the iconic tuxedo the Italian brand made for him to wear to the Academy Awards. Rose Forde styled the ensemble, which was enhanced with tailored elements like a bow tie, oxford loafers, Sauvereign brooch, and a pleated dress shirt. The ensemble stole the show as Murphy won Best Actor for ‘Oppenheimer,’ which also took home the ‘Best Picture’ award.

The creative director of the company, Donatella Versace, expressed her excitement and welcomed Murphy to the Versace family, complimenting him on his extraordinary talent and captivating presence in front of the camera.

Murphy has demonstrated his impeccable sense of style during this awards season, as seen by his Saint Laurent pinstripe suit at the SAG Awards and his modest yet elegant monochromatic suit at the PGA Awards.

Anne Hathaway embodied the brand’s timeless sartorial narrative in Versace’s previous Icons campaign, wearing pieces that are meant to last a lifetime and transcend trends. Depicting the collection as “timeless elegance with an edge” on Instagram, Hathaway praised Versace’s vision of empowerment.
