‘Crime 101’: Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo Will Reunite For Don Winslow’s New Movie

Two of the original Avengers are set to share the screen once more. Mark Ruffalo is reportedly in talks to join Chris Hemsworth in the film adaptation of Don Winslow’s 2021 novella, ‘Crime 101.’

Chris Hemsworth is teaming up with Amazon MGM Studios to bring Don Winslow’s book, ‘Crime 101: A Novella,’ to the big screen. According to Deadline, Hemsworth is confirmed to be in talks for a major role in this upcoming film. The script is penned by Bart Layton and Peter Straughan, with Layton also directing.

Hemsworth is producing the crime thriller alongside Ben Grayson and Joely Fether as executive producers, along with Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan, Layton, Dimitri Doganis, Derrin Schlesinger, and Shane Salerno.

What to Expect From Crime 101

Based on the best-selling book by Don Winslow, ‘Crime 101’ follows a series of high-end jewel heists along the Pacific Coast Highway, which have baffled the authorities for years. The thief follows a strict code dubbed Crime 101, leading the police to suspect the Colombian cartels.

However, Detective Lou Lubesnick believes it’s the work of a lone, skilled thief. As the thief aims for one last big score, Lubesnick throws caution to the wind to catch him. ‘Crime 101’ is slated for release in 2025.

For those less familiar, Hemsworth and Ruffalo have previously shared the screen as Thor and Hulk in multiple Marvel films. While Hemsworth gears up for his new film’s premiere on 24th May, Ruffalo will be seen in ‘Mickey 17,’ a sci-fi feature directed by Bong Joon Ho and starring Robert Pattinson.
