Singer-songwriter Demi Lovato has announced a major change to her highly anticipated 'It's Not That Deep Tour,' canceling five scheduled dates this spring in order to "protect my health" and ensure she can deliver her best on the remaining shows. On 10th February, the 33-year-old pop artist posted on Instagram to clarify that she needs extra time to recover and rehearse before embarking on the tour after realizing she had "overextended what may be possible" during the preparations. Lovato thanked supporters for their compassion and conveyed her sincere regret for upsetting fans in the impacted cities.

Lovato's Comeback, Hits, and Tour Plans

After becoming well-known through early songs like 'Skyscraper,' 'Cool for the Summer,' and 'Sorry Not Sorry,' Demi Lovato has spent the last few years gaining popularity in both her music and personal life. After the raw, rock-leaning vibes of her 2022 project 'Holy Fvck,' she made a strong return to her dance-pop and electronic style with her ninth studio album, 'It's Not That Deep,' which was released in October 2025 and debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Lovato announced the 'It's Not That Deep Tour' in October 2025 to support her new era. Initially, she had planned about 23 North American dates with Adéla as her opening act—a major milestone as Lovato had not launched a full arena tour since 2018's 'Tell Me You Love Me World Tour.' Although fans were excited for the live performances, Lovato discovered the initial schedule was too rigorous once preparations got underway.

In her heartfelt announcement, she explained that she needed to "build in more time to rest and rehearse" so she could sustain the entire tour and give fans the performances they deserve. This choice is in line with Lovato's continuous path toward physical and mental health and well-being, which she has openly discussed throughout her career.

Canceled Dates, Rescheduled Start, and Fan Support

The five canceled performances were slated to take place in Charlotte (8th April), Atlanta (12th April), Nashville (14th April), Denver (5th May) and Las Vegas (8th May). Fans who had purchased tickets through third-party resellers like SeatGeek or StubHub are encouraged to get in touch with their seller directly, while those who had purchased tickets through primary vendors like Ticketmaster and AXS will immediately receive a refund.

In a positive update, Lovato also has moved her Orlando show from 10th April to 13th April, officially kicking off the tour there and resetting the trajectory for a strong run through North America.

Lovato's message struck a blend of vulnerability and determination, as she reaffirmed her excitement for the tour and gratitude to her "Lovatics." She expressed how excited she was to see the faces of the fans and perform with them in all of the locations that were still scheduled. Her choice reflects a larger trend among musicians who are becoming more open about the difficulties of touring and the significance of striking a balance between professional obligations and personal health, especially in the wake of years of international tour stops and wellness-related public discussions.

As fans prepare for the revised 'It's Not That Deep Tour,' many have sent messages of love and support, recognizing Lovato's honesty and commitment to delivering her best when she takes the stage this spring.
