'Destiny 2' fans, brace yourselves as the much-anticipated next expansion, 'The Final Shape,' is hitting the snooze button until the 4th of June instead of the initial 27th of February date.
This expansion is a big deal. It's not only a DLC but the grand finale of a decade-long saga that has had Guardians hooked since the OG 'Destiny' days. In a recent blog post, Bungie stated that 'The Final Shape' is the cherry on top of the 'Destiny' cake, celebrating ten years of Guardian adventures and countless shared moments.

But wait, there's more! The Guardian Games, usually an April thing, is jumping the gun and arriving in March, adding a spicy touch of competition between the three Guardian subclasses.
Come April, 'Destiny 2: Into the Light' will hit the screens, a two-month content update prepping players for their journey into the Traveler in 'The Final Shape.' May will sprinkle in some new PvP maps for that extra adrenaline rush.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room. Bungie's decision to postpone comes on the heels of some in-house reshuffling. Word on the street is that about 8% of the Bungie workforce, roughly 100 folks, got the boot due to a dip in player retention after the Lightfall expansion. The revenue's reportedly 45% south of Bungie's expectations, and it's hitting every department, from QA to social.

In response, Bungie's big boss, Pete Parsons, took to Twitter with a sombre post, bidding adieu to the departing colleagues. The move stirred some waves, with many questioning the decisions made behind the scenes.
