Emma Myers Against "Shipping" Real-Life People

Emma Myers, who plays Enid on the hit show 'Wednesday,' recently gave some advice to fans in an interview with NME: don't 'ship' real-life people. For those unfamiliar, 'to ship' means to hope or imagine that two characters (or sometimes real people) are romantically involved. In the case of 'Wednesday,' fans have been eager to see a romance between Jenna Ortega's character, Wednesday, and Myers' Enid.

Myers understands the enthusiasm. She grew up as a fan of various shows and knows how intense online 'shipping' can get. While she appreciates fans' passion, she draws a line at involving real-life people. "Ship who you want as long as you’re not dragging real-life people into it," she said. Myers and Ortega even joked about fans' reactions while filming season one, not expecting such an intense response from the fandom.

The first season featured a stellar cast, including Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Christina Ricci, and Gwendoline Christie. Now, several famous faces are joining the ensemble for season two.

Netflix announced the new cast members through a teaser trailer, where the character Thing delivers scripts to various actors' doors, revealing their roles. Among the new additions are Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Joanna Lumley, and Thandiwe Newton. Excitingly, Christopher Lloyd, from the original 'The Addams Family,' is also set to appear, though his role remains a mystery.
