The plot of the Bloodlines involves Stefani Reyes, the protagonist of the tale, a college student who suffers from horrific, recurrent dreams connected to her family's past. Upon her return home, she learns that her family has a sinister, inherited curse that dates back to a disastrous hotel collapse in 1968. As Death approaches her family, Stefani must now solve the puzzles and avoid it.
The film revives a franchise that had been mostly dormant since 'Final Destination 5' (2011), injecting fresh energy with a new protagonist and darker stakes.
