Unlike many reboots where original creators are sidelined, ‘Hellboy: The Crooked Man’ takes a more authentic approach. Mike Mignola, the original creator of Hellboy, serves as an executive producer and co-writer of the film, alongside Christopher Golden.
Brian Taylor, known for co-directing ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ and developing the TV series ‘Happy!’ starring Christopher Meloni, directs this new instalment. The cast includes Jefferson White, Leah McNamara, Joseph Marcell, Adeline Rudolph, Nathan Cooper, and more.
Fans were thrilled when Kesy was cast as Hellboy. The New York actor, who gained attention in ‘Baywatch’ (2017), has continued to impress with roles in ‘12 Strong’ alongside Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon. Kesy is widely regarded as an ideal choice for ‘Hellboy’, and the trailer confirms his capability in the role.
Among Kesy’s co-stars, McNamara is recognized for her role in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series ‘The Gentlemen,’ led by Theo James. White has been a recurring character on ‘Yellowstone’ since 2018, appearing in 47 episodes over five seasons. ‘Hellboy: The Crooked Man’ aims to deliver a folk-horror story, with the involvement of original creator Mignola adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
